How to Pair the Surface Pro 3 Pen


Step 1:    Go to Start Windows logo, and select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth.


Step 2:    Make sure Bluetooth is On. (If Surface Pen happens to appear in the list of discovered devices, select it and select Remove device.)


Step 3:    Hold down the top button of the pen (purple) for about seven seconds, until the light in the middle of the pen clip starts to flash, then release.Surface Pen light and top button



Step 4:    When the pen appears in the list of Bluetooth devices, select it and select Pair.

Surface Pro 3 Troubleshooting:


Keyboard that is connected and not working:


First:  Disconnect your Surface from the keyboard from then reconnect.  Most of the time this corrects the problem.  


   If that doesn't work than:
  • Hold down the Volume UP and Power Button at same time for 10 seconds and let go.
  •     Surface will power up in BIOS mode - click on Exit Set up
  •     Click Yes
  •      The keyboard should now work.
